I’m a rookie in all regards to the word. I own a camera that’s much more capable than I am of taking great pictures. I’m surrounded by six other lenses that have much more experience than I do. My photo editing skills are hindered by the fact that I’m severely color deficient (color blind). I’ve got much more experience in videography and telling stories through moving pictures than I do in photojournalism and telling stories through a single image. I’m nervous, I’m hyper-critical, and I’m unsure about this whole project, but that’s the whole point.
I need to push through my self-imposed hinderances and begin to stand up to myself. Creativity is vulnerability, and I need to be vulnerable.
